Sleepover!!!

ATTENTION NEMBY GUYS!!!

For the guys sleepover on Friday you'll be at Phil's place (3 Glencairn Dr).  You'll meet there at 7pm.  Bring your swimsuit, towel, sleep gear, a lawn chair, and your best impression of Bear Grylls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37wZ2oIzuR4) Just go straight to the back yard.

ATTENTION NEMBY GIRLS!!!

We're going to be at my parents house for the night (1178 Concession 6, NOTL).  Bring your sleeping stuff, swimsuit (please bring a dark tank top to wear over your bikini), towel, whatever you need to get ready in the morning.

ATTENTION GUYS & GIRLS OF NEMBY!!!

We're going to meet up for breakfast at Angel's Diner on Saturday morning.  Bring some money along for that and have your parents pick you up from Angel's at 10:30 am.

Summer Picnic

Exams are over!!! SUMMER IS HERE!!!

To celebrate summer (and the end of our weekly bible study) we're going to have a picnic!  We'll meet at 6:00 pm at Russell Ave Park (108 Russell Ave).  The weather outside is a bit gloomy today and the forecast is calling for thunderstorms all day.  I've looked at the weather radar and it looks like we'll be okay at 6 pm, but if it's looking sketchy at around 5:30 pm then give me a call to see if we're bringing the picnic indoors.

Oh, and it's a picnic so DO NOT EAT SUPPER AT HOME!  There'll be tons of food.

My favourite youth group,

This Friday we're going to take part in a time hounoured tradition by dressing up select people in thrift-store strangeness and then traveling to a fantastical land to play miniature golf. The name of this tradition is Ridicuputt, the etymology for which I will let you determine on your own.

We will meet at SCOTT ST. MB CHURCH (339 Scott St.) at 7pm.  Bring $3.00 to help your group buy silly clothes and $7.00 to pay for mini-putting at Super Putt in Niagara Falls.  After our game we will go get ICE CREAM so be sure to bring extra money for that if you want some.

Good Luck on Exams

Good luck to everyone writing exams this week!  Study hard!

Because of exams we will NOT be having Bible Study/Awesome Time tonight. Next Tuesday we'll celebrate an awesome year of Bible Study with our end of the year picnic.

Summer Fun

Summer is almost here so this Friday we're going to be having some summer fun.  We'll meet at Port Weller Elementary School (at the corner of Bunting & Parnell) at 7pm for some soccer or maybe some other games.  Then once we're tired and sweaty we'll go to Sam's house (675 Niagara St.) for some swimming.  What to bring: running shoes, swimsuit (girls, make sure you bring a dark tank top to wear over your bikini), and a towel.  Parents can pick you up from Sam's house at 10pm.

Bible Study

Tonight is our last regular Youth Bible Study/Awesome Time night.  We'll meet at Fairview MB Church at 7pm.  Next week will be our end of the year picnic...stay tuned for details.

Youth Sunday Practice

For youth tomorrow, we're going to be doing a practice run for Youth Sunday.  WE'LL BE MEETING AT SCOTT ST MB CHURCH AT 7PM and going through the entire service to make sure everyone knows what they are doing and when.  It won't take the whole night so afterward we'll hang out at the church...perhaps play some games in the gym or the youth room.

Bible Study

IT IS TUESDAY!!!  That means that we've got Bible Study/Awesome Time tonight!  We'll meet at Fairview MB Church at 7 pm for a night of sharing our lives, studying the bible, and praying. You should come!

Ultimate Tournament

This Friday is the big game day!  That's right the Niagara MB Ultimate Tournament is tomorrow!  We'll be meeting AT the Centennial Arena in Virgil (1565 Creek Rd, Virgil) at 6:30 pm...NOTE THE EARLIER TIME.  Make sure you wear running shoes and athletic clothes and bring water.  If you ordered a NEMBY T-shirt then bring $10 along to pay for it (they look great!).

After we finish playing ultimate we'll be going to my parents' house (1178 Concession 6, NOTL) for a bonfire, snacks, and hang out time with Cornerstone & Southridge Youth.  Bring a change of clothes so you don't get all shivery in your sweaty clothes and perhaps bring a sweater along because it gets kind of cold once the sun goes down.  HAVE YOUR RIDE PICK YOU UP FROM MY PARENTS' HOUSE AT 10:30 PM.

Ultimate Practice

NEMBY!!!!

The ultimate tournament is next weekend!!! The competition is going to be pretty intense so to prepare ourselves we're going to take time tomorrow night to practice and make sure we're up to the challenge.

I'll post the location we'll be meeting at tomorrow so check back.  If you have A FRISBEE THEN BRING IT.  Don't worry if you've never even thrown a frisbee before we'll make sure everyone knows how to throw & catch a frisbee and then play some games.  WEAR ATHLETIC CLOTHING & SHOES and BRING WATER.  If sports aren't your thing then just come along to watch & cheer.

Murder Mystery

We have youth tonight!!!!  We'll be meeting at Scott St MB Church at 7 pm for a night of mystery and intrigue.  See you there!

Bible Study

It's Tuesday!  We'll be meeting at Fairview MB at 7 pm for Bible Study/Awesome Time!  That means we'll be sharing our lives with each other, reading & discussing a passage of the bible (Mark 7:31-8:26), and praying for each other.  It's going to be a good night! And remember that bible study is for EVERYONE so even if you've never come before know that you are welcome!

NEMBY's Iron Chef

Put your cooking skills to the test in NEMBY's first ever Iron Chef competition. Teams of 4 will go head to head to try to make the best dish possible, as determined by the judges. The catch is that there is a secret ingredient that teams will need to incorporate into their dish.

We'll provide the secret ingredient and a few pantry staples (flour, butter, sugar, salt, and oil) and then game on! Your team will come up with a recipe, head across the street to the grocery store for your ingredients, and then make your culinary magic happen.

What you need to bring is:
* $5 to contribute to your teams grocery bill
* clothes you don't mind cooking in (bring an apron if you're worried)

You can talk to your friends and make up your team of 4 ahead of time if you want, but feel free to show up without a team...we'll make sure you all find groups (we're all family at NEMBY).

We will meet at Scott St. MB Church on Friday at 7 pm.

Who will be the next Iron Chef...or perhaps I should say, who will be the first Iron Chef?

Worship Night

Tomorrow is our worship night! We'll be singing some great songs to our Creator and hearing about recent mission trip experiences from some of our adult leaders.

We'll meet at SCOTT ST. MB CHURCH (not Grantham MB) at 7:00 PM.
