Winter Retreat Form

Due to popular request, here is the retreat form on our wonderous blog! I couldn't put up the more relevant picture of the snowball thrower behind the word retreat as is in the hard copy forms I handed out, so instead you will find the wonderful boy-robot "astroboy" here instead, who I believe holds relevance in virtually all situations.

Just click on the form here and it'll give you a full size version, then print it out and get it to your wonderous Youth Pastor, the author of this blog, Thomas V. Friesen with your $75

If you want to know anything else...just email me!

Hope to see everyone on the retreat as it shall be heap loads of fun!

Also, remember to bring in your forms for the Winter Retreat.

What Danny's Doing

hola!

right now i´m in Jocotenango, Guatemala. i´m not used to this keyboard, so things might look weird. wow, this place is freakin´crazy. it´s so hard to explain. so it turns out i´m not with the original host family that was intended, but it turns out that i´m staying with my friend Brandon with this really nice lady named Blanci and her daughter Emily. they´re some of the nicest people ever. the language barrier-- it´s amazing what 2 guys can figure out just by knowing a little bit of espanol and having our dictionaries handy. at first though, we went to a really neat camp outside guatemala city. lemme tell ya, it´s beautiful here. sorry i´m not being personal or descriptive, but i´m sort in a rush. i need to be home for supper in 20 minutos. anyways, we went to Antigua, and it´s a crazy place too. the chicken buses are so hectic. it´s really hard to explian. maybe when i have more time i´ll email again.

to shorten it up, this place is crazy, yet so incredibly beautiful and we´ve only been here a couple days. we´re all working on our spanish and by the time we get back we´ll have it down pat for sure. God has really had His hand on our trip, things i´ve prayed about have turned out better than i could imagine.

hasta luego!

Bible Study and also a Live Board Game

Well, I'm back at Co-Op this week, so here's the Blog courtesy of Robert Mason.

Last Friday was Science Center/Girls Night Out(Loud). The night consisted either of learning spectacular scientific facts or of painting your nails and talking about that dreamy Robert Mason boy.

This Thursday, as with the majority of Thursdays, we shall be experiencing Bible Study. It has been some time since I, Lieutenant General Robert Mason, have been at Bible Study with the rest of you; last week there was no Bible Study, and the week before that I had family over, and wasn't there. This week though, I will see you all there! Come one come all!

This Friday for youth is Live Boardgame Night. The boardgame is... a MYSTERY (Thats a gigantic raging hint.) So come on out Kelly Dahl to the Youth Room with the Hunter (Second Large Hint, I cant think of any other CLUES (Third one right there.))

Science Centre?!? No Bible Study?!? GNO?!?

Hey all,

Wow, what a lengthy comment...first up:

Science Centre

This is our official youth event for this Friday. We'll be meeting at Scott St. at 3pm and the centre is open until 9pm (plus it takes an hour and a half or so to get home). At the Centre there is a Marvel Comics Exhibit which will look at the science behind super heroes...if you want to know more, click here

The cost will be $30 which includes paying for gas and parking. If you want a road dog or some other snacky then you should bring a bit for that.

You need to let me know if you are coming by Thursday!

Nextly...

No Bible Study

The title basically says it all...there is no bible study this week, but next week we will be once again kicking it in full effect Old School...make that Testament style! 7pm at Char and my place...bonus feature for Jan. 11th...I got Space Invaders for the Atari from Ebay!

And finally...

GNO

That stands for Girls night out or guys not o-loud! Friday as many of the girls from our group aren't interested in things of geekdom Charity will be having you over to our house [2A Water St., St. Catharines...off Weland near Geneva...there's a map on one of the earlier blogs]. Meet at 7 or 7:30 and bring anything along that you'd like to do.
