Tom Moments

Hey all, so I think that it'd be nice to hear stories about us as youth leaders. I think each month I'll put up a different leader for you to story about in the comment section. I figure I'll start with myself because I'm a egotistical maniac. Actually I figure if we're gonna pick on people we should start with me...this way I'll know how hard to go on the other leaders when their names come up.

So, in the comments feel free to tell any sort of memories or comments you would like about yours trully me. Plus as some ppl. come on here that know me from other contexts it'll give you a chance to hear about other sides of me. Note, to my college friends, please don't get me fired.

well tom, this blog space is such wonder. Cat Steven's lyric "C'mon the peace train" really sums up your work here.

Anyways, I rate Tom a 10 out of 10 Bibles. And would recommend him to any youth, and anyone else.

LOVE YOU TOM! haha

your best friend

Since Marc didn't say how he knows me...he was also in my cabin this past year. He's a fellow Port Rowan boy with Neil. Marc gave me the Nintendo jacket I'm wearing right now.

Marc, Neil, Both you guys are gold in my books and I'm so glad to have gotten to know you! I rate you both 10 out of 10 bibles as well and a bonus green hymnal!

Love you boys and thanks for the visits...I'll see you in Port Rowan in June when I come for my friends wedding!

Before I knew Tom as a relative, I thought he was just some crazy guy coming into Avondale Dairy Bar and ordering banana splits without bananas as a propaganda for the sustainability of the ecosystem. Not to mention attempting to establish the Dairy Bar's first workers union. But Tom is more than that guy...he is
a) a great cabin leader
b) an up and coming rap artist
c) a great person to have in your life

Yep, so svenska is my cousin-nephew (that means he's my cousin's son) Chris. Funny story that Chris and I didn't even know we were related until after I was his cabin leader at camp. See, camp is not just a camp, but they're uniting families even. Anyways, Chris, I'm so glad that I got to know you and I've loved the conversations we've had since then...especially when we worked on your Philosophy project. Keep thinking.

Since nobody seems to want to be the retard to tell an embarassing story of Tom let me be the first. I remember the first time Tom drove his rabbit to Church (to those of who don't know that is an early VW model which was replaced by the Golf). IT was his first vehicle that was standard and was also a heap. On the way to Port we stopped at a red light and we ended up staying there heaving and jerking throughout the green light until it turned red. I thought it was pretty funny. Seriously though, Tom you've been an encouragement to me in my life (a frustration at times too) and your friendship means a lot to me. I look forward to working wiht ou again when I come back from the other side of the world.

Awe thanks Gar. That Rabbit was a HEAP! The mechanic who gave it it's 'safety' said it looked like it had been smashed in two at somepoint. Finding first in it was like finding Mewtwo in Pokemon (yellow gameboy version). That car, however, has got some good memories to it too. Slow racing Gar Doerksen's green diesel rabbit and parking both of em in one spot. Also, picking up the back end with James Dahl and throwing it into a tight parking spot...good times!
